My Students

Students need to do, not observe. I was hired two days before school began. Did I mention this is my first year teaching so my personal collection is non existent? I would love to see students enjoy all of the materials/manipulatives of a seasoned teacher.

I have a broad range of learners in my classroom.

Some students are terrified of math and some can not wait to walk into my room. Many of my terrified students are also my lower level learners that need alternative instructional strategies. With the help of the requested manipulatives, I would be able to better differentiate instruction.

My Project

Fractions are a very large portion of the 5th grade curriculum. My students would greatly benefit from your donation. I have requested items such as clocks and magnetic fraction pieces to give the students a better understanding of fractions in the real world. With the change in standards, students are being challenged more than ever. Help my students reach their full potential and reach each target of the new standards.

I have requested many fraction manipulatives because it is a large portion of the 5th grade curriculum. Our state has adopted the new Common Core Standards which are challenging. Help my students reach the targets of the new standards with your donations.
