Help to Create a Champion

My students need new 2 new softball bats to help compete with other programs.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Help these young ladies! With the budget cuts and increase cost each year, we are having a more difficult time trying to get quality equipment compared to other schools.

My students come from primarily Hispanic, lower economic families.

They are hard working, dedicated, and just the greatest to be around. Yet, my students usually come from families that are also hard working, but in many cases do not have the extra money to help their child pay for most of the extras that are needed to compete with those who can. Also, our school has seen large budget cuts due to the economic situation in the state of California. We have a very small amount of money that the school gives us, but it is no where close in paying from what is needed each year for these young ladies.

My Project

First of all, the equipment that we would like to receive from this project would bring excitement to my students from the fact that we have not had this level of equipment. The bats that we would receive from your donations are considered top of the line in which we seldom have the opportunity to purchase due to cost(the price is around $300 per bat). This would create a sense of pride that they now have the same materials as those schools that are considered to be well off compared to our school. Plus, I believe that once they learn that people care enough to donate to them. They would learn a valuable lesson about helping others. This lesson is something that they may remember later in life and return the favor to someone or a group that needs help in the future.

I hope you will take the time to consider our project.

You will be giving my young ladies the opportunity to get the best equipment for them to achieve the most success. We usually do not get the chances to receive the best due to the extreme cost and the limited budget we are dealing with today. I know some may think that this project may not be the same as books or other materials, but for these girls softball teaches them life long lessons that they will help for the rest of their lives.
