Imagine a group of students who NEED pictures to communicate......
BUT do not have the resources to do so.
My students are a group of elementary school children diagnosed with autism.
They go to a special education school in which there are 6 children in each class. All of my students receive related services (speech, OT, PT) multiple times a week. Each of my students is different and special. They make me smile everyday.
My Project
These materials are critical to creating durable activities and pictures to aid in communication and/or language development in my students. Each new activity will help to engage my students and allow them to be successful. Most important, picture symbols and/or language boards will be durable- allowing my students to have a reliable and long lasting communication system.
Our school is tight on space! I need a filing cabinet to store important documents to ensure privacy and organization for my students.
A little goes a long way.........
My students will have reliable communication systems, awesome and creative activities during speech, and a safe place for all of their important documents.
