Because of you, my students now have access to engaging, meaningful books that truly meet their learning needs and interests. We use these books daily during our reading time, small group instruction, and independent practice. One special moment that stood out was seeing my students excitedly choose their own books and proudly share what they were reading. For many of them, this was the first time they felt confident and connected to reading.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, my students were immediately excited and curious. They eagerly explored the new books, pointing out pictures, recognizing familiar words, and asking to read more. The library has helped create a calm, welcoming space where students feel motivated to learn and participate. It has also allowed me to better support their individual learning levels using visuals, repetition, and structured reading routines.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we will continue using these resources to build reading skills, expand vocabulary, and strengthen comprehension. We are working on identifying story elements, retelling stories, and connecting reading to our classroom discussions. The cyanotypes that most of my classes print are 5x7. Framing them helps to protect the prints and make the photo display look even better on my bulletin board. \r\n\r\nWe used the felt, gold wrapping paper and metallic tinsel foil fringe curtain to finish some of our projects for Lunar New Year. The felt was turned into more fur fringe for our Lion Dance costume. We sent the gold wrapping paper through my cricut machine to cut our flower silhouettes which we glued to our fire horses. The red acrylic paint and the foil fringe were also used for the fire horse hobby horses. \r\n\r\nAnd perhaps most importantly, the bubblegum fur was purchased so I could test out building a simple hand and rod puppet, to figure out if I could have one of my classes build hand and rod puppets. It is communication. It is self-regulation. It is confidence. The simple act of dipping a brush into paint and watching color come to life on canvas provides a powerful sensory experience that supports focus, emotional expression, and creativity.\r\n\r\nThe new canvases immediately elevated their sense of purpose. Instead of temporary paper projects, students now create artwork that feels important and lasting.
