My Students

The digital age brings new challenges to educating students today. Children are engaged learners when they are given opportunities to use the latest forms of technology. Communication is the key to success and technology tools can give children the chance to unlock their potential.

There are more than 100 students enrolled in speech and language therapy at this K-5 school.

These special education students work hard to reach their communication goals. Many students come from economically disadvantaged homes. They love using computers and other forms of technology to learn.

My Project

Students will be able to effectively use technology for a variety of purposes. For example, they can communicate easily, improve their organizational skills, and learn new things each day. Students will learn new vocabulary words, complete problem solving activities, and use a calendar to support learning activities. I am requesting an iPod touch, charger, and stylus to help achieve our technology goal. I am also requesting a sturdy case and audio-visual adapter for our iPad so that I can share my favorite personal tool with students.

This project can help students achieve mastery of technology which will help them achieve a great job.

With their improved communication skills, they can interview well and become productive citizens.
