My Students

The old saying says a picture is worth a thousand words. That is exactly what I want my students to have: pictures to create projects that are worth a thousand words.

I teach Technology to Pre-k through 8th grade in a Baltimore City Public School.

My students range in ability and knowledge about technology, but they are all eager to learn more. The only time most students at my school get to use computers is in my classroom because they do not have them at home.

My Project

I want to give my students the opportunity to use other forms of technology to be able to incorporate their creativity into our learning. Having these cameras could allow us to create personalized PowerPoints, Storyboards, and even short videos. Knowing how to use a digital camera is a skill that many of these students would not have the opportunity to do in many other circumstances.

My students would greatly benefit from receiving these digital cameras to use in the technology classroom.

They would learn to be responsible for equipment, how to share, and most importantly all of the wonderful ways you can use pictures with technology.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
