Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students desperately need tools to improve fine motor skills. I teach special education students from extremely low income families. My class is mild/moderate SDC class for Kinder/1st grade.

My student's are in kindergarten and 1st grade and range from age 5 to 7.

I teach an SDC (Special Day Class) special ed class. My student's have various learning disabilities including autism and mild retardation. Many of them are developing their pre-writing skills. These fine motor skills games are a great way to build hand coordination and strength that will lead to writing skills.

My Project

Kids build fine motor control, develop eye/hand coordination and more as they play irresistible games featuring super-silly animals with giant-sized mouths…plus big, fun-to-use tweezers designed just for little hands. Kids use the tweezers to grab tasty pretend treats and drop them into each animal’s mouth and fine-tune motor skills with every bite. I am also requesting tweezers, scissors, and scoops to develop fine motor skills.

All of these materials I am requesting were suggested to me by a great occupational therapist.

Unfortunately there is no funding for supplies in the school. I would greatly appreciate any contribution to these amazing children.
