This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Was Science your favorite subject in school? For my students it is. The only problem is, we don't have the proper materials to conduct simple science experiments.

My fifth grade students are motivated learners.

They love to learn about the world around them and conduct experiments. Unfortunately, they are at a disadvantage because they come from poverty. Growing up is a challenge for them. Schools are supposed to help these students become well rounded learners. But how can we do that without the proper materials?

My Project

Providing my students with the animal slide kit, insect slide kit, and the science tool supply center, will bring smiles to every one of their faces. Everyday they ask me if we are going to have Science class. Everyday I have to break the news to them because we don't have the proper materials to conduct the experiments. With these materials my students will be able to explore things under the microscope, magnetism, and conduct experiments in the classroom.

Science is in the world around us.

These students need to be exposed to Science in order to be well rounded individuals. Without the proper materials this will not be able to happen. Please help my students become Science whizzes!
