My Students

A person can only be successful if they are given the proper tools. Please help to give these necessary, yet most basic of tools to needy students.

Because of the economic situation in our area, our students do not have many options or resources.

The materials provided by this project would help to give these students a kick start in their art classes this year. During the past four years I've been at my school I've found the students to have a lot of heart. We've built strong and very meaningful relationships.

My Project

At the beginning of the year, I assign several projects to my students to help assess where they are both academically and artistically. Simple projects that are based upon classroom and school rules, but give me a sense of a student's artistic expression. Throughout the year we look at famous artists past and present, read/write about these artists and then create a work of art that is based upon some of the themes that artist had invented/promoted. Sketchbooks, pencils, paper, and erasers are some of the basic materials that are necessary for this kind of work.

Your help will make a difference in these students' lives.

You will be helping them to have the supplies necessary to being successful in class. They will be able to create quality pieces of work that they are proud of, expanding their education as well as their confidence.
