My Students

Have you gone a day in the last month without using technology? When was the last time you googled something? If you ask my students this they would have to ponder a moment...because it has been awhile!

I teach second grade to 22 amazing kids!

They light up my room and are eager to learn. We are an International Baccalaureate school while also being a Title I school. Both those labels don't define us! What defines us is these words: empathetic, caring, inquisitive, tolerant, and thinkers! Those words describe every single one of my students. They want to learn everything they can but lack so many resources. Only about three of my students have access to technology at home.

My Project

We are in the 21st century and need to use 21st century skills but we lack 21st century resources! I am asking for an HP laptop computer. This HP computer will expand my students minds and open many doors for their learning. My students need a computer to compete with the world around them. I want my students to become experts in the research world while learning how to type. I want my students to have a place where they can listen to a proficient reader while answering comprehension questions. I want my students to have a tool that they can use when they earn special privileges. I want my students to have a computer that would encourage them to be thinkers! This computer would allow me to expand lessons by creating web quests for my children to participate in. The computer would allow my students so much freedom in their learning. Right now they don't have that privilege and it is not fair! Having an HP Computer my students will have a tool that is reliable and works quickly!

My students live that each and everyday! I am asking that you provide them this resource that will support their learning as well and encourage them to investigate new ideas! Having a new computer will allow my students to feel free in their learning while also competing with the 21st century
