I have a line of students at my door, wanting to be a part of the band program, but cannot afford to rent an instrument. Since we are a brand new music program, we do not have a supply of school instruments, so these eager students are unable to participate in band.
My Project
We are a Title 1 charter school serving inner-city kids in Ohio. Many of our students are coming from schools without music programs, and have always wanted to be in band. We are working to build a quality program, but our numbers are limited by the lack of school instruments in our closet.
