My Students

I am a first grade teacher in a small school district with a large heart. Our district has been hit hard by the current CA budget crisis, and as a result has had to make serious cutbacks and unfortunately engaging and fun math materials are just one of the many areas cut.

My students are energetic, talented, and inspiring young individuals.

They are hard working and dedicated. The budget cuts we have experienced have resulted in the loss of many things, and extra supplemental math supplies are just one of the many areas our district has had to cut back on. The materials requested would inspire my students to not only learn math concepts, but see math as fun and engaging.

My Project

I am asking for a variety of math supplies to supplement the current math curriculum in order to engage my students, reinforce math concepts, and help them to develop a life-long love of math. They include addition and subtraction center games, money reinforcement puzzles, a fact family chart, and privacy partitions. These materials will be used in various unit math lessons throughout the year.

Please help fund my project so that my students have a better opportunity to learn mathematical concepts and develop a love for math.

These items will not only help engage and inspire my students this year but for many years to come.
