My students can make selections, take turns, solve problems, and complete activities with decreasing levels of adult assistance. When a child who typically needs significant support is able to walk up to the board, make a choice, and complete an activity independently, the pride on their face says everything. Those moments build confidence and remind our students that they are capable.\r\n\r\nIt has also allowed me to meet my students where they are. Every child in my classroom is different. Some learn best through pictures. Some need repetition. Some need movement and hands-on interaction. Some communicate through gestures, sounds, or assistive supports. Before we had them, it was harder to stay organized and comfortable during activities. Now, everyone has enough space to sit, work, and keep their materials in one place. The tables are just the right size for us, which helps us focus better and feel more confident while learning.\r\nHaving these tables also makes group work much easier. We can sit together, share supplies, and help each other with our projects. It feels nice to be able to work as a team without bumping into each other or running out of room. Our teacher can move around more easily too, which means we get help faster when we need it.\r\nOverall, the donated tables have helped our class become more productive and happy. We spend less time dealing with crowded spaces and more time learning and having fun. I have caught them several times on the criss cross chair cuddling up with their library books reading when they were done with independent work. \r\n\r\nWhen the criss cross chair first arrived in our classroom, my students were in awe and so excited to have the opportunity to use such a cool chair during their special week. Since the chair has been in our room, my students have made sure that their friends use the chair with respect. The label maker is wonderful and the different sized fonts is fun to play with depending on what is being labeled.
