"My special needs, pre school children will enjoy the variety and versatility of table toys.

Table toys are games, manipulative's, puzzles and collectibles that children can play with at the table or on the floor, alone or with a friend or a teacher. Rich in texture, color, and shape, table toys offer children challenging opportunities to learn new skills and to grow in all areas of development as they work cooperatively (social-emotional), demonstrate an understanding of pre academic reading and math skills (cognitive), and develop fine motor control and eye hand coordination (physical). These manipulatives are vital to the development of the special needs pre schooler, but do not fall anywhere within the school budget guidelines.

My Project

The inclusion of table top toys and games that foster early developing skills is essential to the academic foundation of my students. When my students complete a maze they are not just completing a picture, they are developing study habits and self confidence. When the children trace magnetic figures, they coordinate the actions of their hands and eyes so essential for reading and writing. When they construct with items that are the same or different, they are developing the early math skills of classification.

These foundations for a lifetime of achievement can be possible for my students with your generous donation.
