Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
"Your imagination is your preview of life's coming attractions." A. Einstein. My kids want to have the opportunity to use their imagination and be able to explore the world in a totally different way. How exciting will be for a 5 years old to be able to see through a microscope?
I teach a bilingual kindergarten class in a Title 1 campus in Texas, where 80% of our students are either on a free or reduced lunch program.
My students come to school eager to learn. For some of them school is their safe heaven. At home they don't have the resources that will enable them to learn. I want them to feel safe and loved in my classroom. I want them to want to learn and see that they can also accomplish anything they want, that they can learn and be productive citizens.
My Project
The all-in-one learning chart makes it a cinch to represent numbers in a variety of ways—for focused math practice one number at a time!
The Big Screen Microscope will let my students get an incredibly up-close view of pollen, cells, insect wings and more—even microscopic particles!
These materials will really motivate my students, in a fun way, to learn about math and science.
they will be able to have hands on activities, be creative, investigate. Foe 5 years old it is really hard to see through a microscope, and with this special microscope they will be able to investigate on their own.
