I teach a bilingual kindergarten class in a Title 1 campus in Texas, where 80% of our students are either on a free or reduced lunch program. My students come to school eager to learn. For some of them school is their safe heaven. At home they don't have the resources that will enable them to learn. I want for them to feel safe and loved in my classroom. I want them to want to learn and see that they can also accomplish anything they want, that they can learn and be productive citizens.

About my class
