My Students

“This is mine!” “No, this is mine!” are phrases that students use when they are unable to share supplies. Sharing is one of the most important skills that Kindergarten students need to learn. Having a class set of materials can help students learn these skills so that they can grow!

I currently have 24 energetic students in my classroom.

We are currently in a brand new school, but though the building is new, we do not have a lot of classroom supplies. In order to have a successful school year, we need materials that the students can use to create art projects as well as extension activities.

My Project

Students will use the scissors everyday. They are important to help develop the student’s coordination skills. The paint brushes would be used to help the students expressive their understanding of stories, math problems and various activities. The storage bins would be used to help store the supplies and would help house various art books.

At this young age children need to have the freedom to be creative.

These supplies will help aid them in this process and will help to become independent thinkers. They will also help the students learn organizational skills and how to share. All of these supplies will be used in conjunction with existing materials in the classroom, to help ensure that my students grow.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
