My Students

What do you think would happen if you had been able to hear your own singing voice as a child? Just think how exciting it will be for my students to produce their very own cd. Some students will get to hear their own voice for the very first time. Imagine the possibilities!

We are a Title 1 School PreK-4th grade with limited resources in the fine arts.

Next year we become PreK-5th grade. By adding our 5th grade classes, they will be able to play simple melodies on the keyboard, and compose their own songs and record their own singing voices. Our students are energetic and eager to learn. They have fantastic ideas. They can be so creative. They will be able to get to the core of musical expression and feel confidence about that experience using this keyboard. As a school, we are committed to excellence and work very hard to give our students every opportunity to achieve at their highest level. With help from people like you, we go the extra mile to help each children everyday. When we see our children succeed, it makes it all worthwhile. It would be great for my students to know how much people like you care about them and are truly interested in their needs.

My Project

Music is changing and with those changes music teachers have to find new innovative ways of teaching. One way is through technology. This is a cross-curricular experience for all my students. They will learn the science of sound, and explore the connection between music and math by learning to read music increasing understanding of math concepts. My students, I believe, truly deserve this educational equipment. It will truly be an asset to their musical growth. They will gain the confidence in performance that will go with them in their musical journey.

Not everyone can be a scholar or an athlete, but we can help everyone have the capability to express themselves through music.

It only takes a spark to get a fire burning, so it only takes one positive experience in music to make a musician for life. I hope the idea of encouraging young musicians is appealing and irresistible to you. Thank you for your consideration!!
