My students need 15 calculators to use during the school year to solve various problems.

My Students

Do you remember your first time trying to solve problems using large numbers and doing it without a calculator? My students have a hard time doing this every school year.

Our school is a magnet high school in Missouri where nearly two-thirds of the students receive free or reduced lunches.

My students are inner city children, who mostly do not have the resources to afford even the most basic scientific calculator. They are hard working kids, but can easily get off task as they wait to use one of the three calculators that I have in my classroom for them to use during our math problems in physical science class.

My Project

These calculators will add my students in being able to stay on task; learn how to solve real live problems dealing with time, speed, power, frequency, wavelength, scientific notation, and energy; enable them to complete their assignments, earn better grades in physical science; and prepare them for college.

Your donation will enable my students to become faster thinkers and better workers.

They will be able to stay focused, get their assignments completed, and learn all that they can.
