My students need equipment like a balance beam, a scooter and balls to build their gross motor skills.

My Students

Help us meet our gross motor standards! We want to build our balance and throwing skills.

Our students live in Hawaii, in a rural region that is one of the lowest economic regions in the state.

Many students come from families living in poverty. Most qualify for free or reduced lunch. They are cheerful and eager to learn when they join us at school.

My Project

My students need equipment like a balance beam, a scooter and balls to build their gross motor skills. With your help, we will finally be able to work on the standard of walking on a balance beam. The scooter will build balance skills and muscle development. The balls will build eye-hand coordination. With all these materials, we will build the social skills of teamwork and turn-taking.

We do not currently have any balls to use with a basketball hoop.

We have been unable to work on the standard of walking on a balance beam because of a lack of a safe beam on which to walk. Help us meet our gross motor standards!
