My Students

Math is difficult for kindergrtners and many find it difficult to grasp certain concepts.

My math class consists of 18 students who are between 4 to 6 years old.

They attend a Title 1 school and all of them are eligible for free/reduced lunch. Many students lack a home-school connection and parental support. School is a time for them to feel safe, loved, and like competent beings.

My Project

Our classroom needs fun math activities! Centers allow children to be engaged while I am working with individual students or in small groups. Students are "tricked" into thinking they are playing with toys, manipulatives, and games, while they are actually mastering their math skills!

My students often have difficulty concentrating and these centers provide a fun way to learn.

Please help our classroom obtain these materials! It will have a great impact on these students!
