Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember the first day of school with a new teacher? We have a unique opportunity this year with an additional Grade 4 Class. However, we need your help to make our classroom come alive. The shelves are empty and we want them full.

These students in Grade 4 have a wide array of ability levels and are very eager to learn.

They like to be actively engaged at all times. They are very hands-on learners. Many of them enjoy working in small groups or with a partner when the opportunity presents itself.

My Project

I have requested many games and independent work (center type) activities in an effort to help keep kids actively engaged throughout the day. Best practices have proved the more kids are actively engaged in the curriculum, the less chances for behavioral issues to occur. These games and resources that I am requesting will help the curriculum come alive for many of the students in both Reading and Social Studies. Some of these resources are a great way to reinforce working independently, a trait that so many students need some more practice with.

Once again, please help our classroom come alive.
