My Students

Water--our most valuable resource. My students need to understand this concept and its importance to the great lakes that surround our state. Living in Michigan the water cycle is critical to our economy.

I teaching second grade at a public charter academy in a large city in Michigan.

All of my students receive free lunch and are of African American or Hispanic American descent. They are limited in their experiences outside the city therefore need hands on experiences to expand their knowledge.

My Project

The books I requested are bright and vivid to capture my students attention and interest in science. Center activities will highlight the lessons we learn in Science every day and the hands on activities will encourage my class to explore the water cycle with interesting and age appropriate labs.

Without opportunities to explore the water cycle my students will not understand the importance of water to our state and the world.
