My Students

Remember how a journal could be your best friend?? My students need a personal, motivational journal to not only practice daily writing skills, but also to be that friend that enables them to verbalize feelings and emotions during the good and bad days for eight and nine year old boys and girls.

My students are wonderful, loving, kind boys and girls who often live very difficult lives due to poverty.

This does not damper their spirits or willingness to give their personal best to learn and grow. They love to learn through engaging activities and would be delighted to have a special journal to call their own. Though my students face many obstacles in their young lives, they possess beautiful qualities of determination, hope and love.

My Project

Writing is a fundamental skill needed for school and life success. What better way to inspire writing than for each child to have their very own personal writing journal in which to express inner feelings, thoughts, and dreams? Children need to write daily in order for writing skills to improve. Journals also give students a chance to put into practical practice what they've learned during a writing lesson. Writing in journals is also a proactive way to express emotions and life's experiences in a positive way. Simply said, writing can change lives.

By donating to this request, you will be supporting eight and nine year old children with their very own personal journals in which they can share their stories, experiences and emotions.

In many cases, this will be the child's first journal, but the life lessons learned from journaling will last forever. Thank you for letting my children experience the power of writing.
