My Students

Our students are going GREEN!!! You can help by helping us get the tools we need to make our elementary school an Earth friendly green school.

Our students are from a rural area in a small school district.

We are in one of the oldest campus buildings of the district and we have limited resources. We are a mixed socioeconomically background. Our campus has only second and third grade students.

My Project

It's not easy being green. Transforming your school into a greener campus takes commitment, time, and resources. Our campus is committed to the challenge. We have been approved through Terracycle to collect various recyclable items that we use in our school everyday, including empty glue sticks, drink pouches, and chip bags. To help jump start this campaign we need mobile recycling units with carts and recycle containers that can be put in the cafeteria and front office to collect these materials. We also need shipping boxes ready to be filled and shipped. The students will be creating recycling posters to accompany these units. The students will also be responsible for collecting, counting, and packing the recyclables for shipping.

You will be helping us teach our students about recycling and why it is so important to the environment.

You will be helping teach our students how to be responsible for the care of our Earth and its resources. Your gift will help this generation be more prepared to take our place in the future with Earth friendly practices in their hearts.
