My Students

With technology being what it is today, there are endless possibilities to what can be created, learned, supported, and accessed using a computer. This is an amazing piece of technology that offers many applications and programs to support the needs and interest of students in many areas.

I teach in a Title I school located in a low-income area in Arkansas.

Students in grades K-3 come to my room each day for small-group instruction. These students are working hard to become basic and above in the area of literacy. With their hard work, and your support on our side, I know they will reach their goal!

My Project

The MacBook Pro not only offers the convenience of storage and accessibility, because it is a notebook, but there are many great applications that the students can be exposed to and use for educational purposes as well as creative and fun projects. I read about some of the things MacBook Pro has to offer. You can create original music using Garage Band. You can include your own tunes and record your own voice to create original CD's for the students to enjoy singing and as part of a listening center. iPhoto can be used to turn pictures into slideshows and collages that make great class presentations and a unique way to share the school experience with families. iMovie was another application that can be used as a fun way to edit, and share, skits that we perform based on books that we have read over and over. The children enjoy acting out their favorite books and performing for different classes. These are a few of the benefits of a MacBook Pro.

The MacBook Pro offers endless possibilities for my students to create and enjoy projects that are educational and fun.

It will also allow us to share the wonderful school experiences with our families. The protection plan and carrying case will allow us to keep our valuable computer safe. We thank you in advance for your consideration and hope that you choose to contribute to our project!
