As a coach I set up a challenge where each team has to complete a series of volleyball drills, but here's the catch: they can only communicate with hand signals. This forces students to really pay attention to non-verbal cues and to work together effectively. The team has to pass the ball in a controlled manner, but only using \"volley\" passes. After 10 successful passes, they move to the next station.\r\n Without speaking, they perform a series of serves and receives, keeping track of each other's movements through gestures. With the balls, I am able to work with more players at one time.","fullyFundedDate":1734898340369,"projectUrl":"project/pause-for-the-cause-we-need-more-balls/8710038/","projectTitle":"Pause for the Cause, We Need More Balls","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Smith","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6736227"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_54337","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":415,"numTeachers":30,"percentFrplEligible":89,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":82,"percentWhite":3,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":6,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"13.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":43.1,"schoolId":54337,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Meadow Park Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Meadow Park Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/arkansas/north-little-rock-school-district/meadow-park-elementary-school/54337"}
