Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Exploration is key to student's and their learning and history is sometimes boring for a student to understand. A new laptop will enable my students to become more well versed in Excel and Financial Literacy topics.

My school is a high poverty, high needs school where all of our students qualify for free lunch.

They are active learners who want to explore issues that are important to them and their lives. They want to learn how to use excel and become well versed in financial topics. I can use the laptop to hook up to the overhead projector and have the students complete the excel on the projector.

My Project

A donation to this project will bring my students one step closer to understanding how to use excel which the students will then use to file mock tax returns. They will learn in history class about inflation and we will make presentations which will be shown using the laptop.

Recent budget cuts have made it impossible for projects like this to be funded.

Schools are unable to fund small items like this because so much has been taken out of their operating costs. Your contributions will afford my students an opportunity to become citizen journalist as well as historians. Help make the difference!
