This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Which community helper do you want to be when you grow up? It's a common question, but for my linguistically and socially impaired preschool students, a very difficult one to answer.

My special needs preschool classroom is filled with students who have dreams just like we did when we were 3-5 years old, they just lack the ability to communicate those dreams.

My special needs preschool class is comprised of 25 socially and linguistically challenged students who need opportunities to participate in a variety of language activities that explore job roles and career choices.

My Project

We need a variety of hands on, creative play interactive materials to strengthen language and social skills while learning about their community. These items will unlock the mysteries of a multitude of career opportunities and community helpers. Language and social skills will be strengthened as students transform into and "sing" the praises of community workers from all walks of life.

What does the future hold for each of my students?

With your help and donation of this variety of hands on, language enriching materials, they will all be able to tell us themselves!
