Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
EEEEKKK! Is that an arachnid, myriapod, or insect? Do you remember Newton's Law of Motion? My students want to be able to remember everything about science too! With new science materials, THEY CAN!!
My students are diverse, high-achieving kids who love to learn about science.
One of their favorite subjects is SCIENCE!! They love everything about the scientific method. Despite the love of science, our students home experiences are very limited. The students at my school are economically disadvantaged, but the staff at my school are dedicated to ensuring their academic success. With your help, my students could be the next great inventor.
My Project
I am requesting preserved specimens to aid in our study of life structures. My students are hands-on learners so having examples that they can easily manipulate will help enhance my science lessons. The science kits will be used in my science centers. I want the kids to be able to guide their own learning by participating in learning centers. Each center will cover a topic previously learned in prior grade levels. Finally, the science bingo game will be used as a fun way to review with the kids. All of these resources will ultimately create a positive learning environment that is fun and educational.

This project will allow my students to become self-learners. They can guide themselves through their activities and propose questions for further learning. The benefits of these materials will last a lifetime!
