In Need of Snare Drums for Football Season

My students need 3 new snare drums with carriers for the upcoming football season!!!

My Students

Snare drums that cannot be carried any longer due to broken and non-reparable harnesses. Snare drums that are so old and scratched up, as well as warped so the heads do not fit on them properly any longer. This is what we have been working with the past two years.

The band I work with is from a low income district.

We are the only high school band in the district (4 high schools) that attends every single football game of the season. This past year that included 10 games plus one championship game. My band is small, though they work hard. They march on the field as a drum line and band at every home game. We have a blast!

My Project

My students have been putting up with broken drums that last year they even painted in an attempt to make them look a bit better. They would be ecstatic to have new snare drums to use for the coming football season. Our band is growing every year and to have more snares will also help with recruitment! Every year my group improves, and new instruments will help them that much more!

New snare drums for football season will help my group know that people care and want to see improvement! My students will work that much harder to care for the drums as well as play them with their hearts!
