My Students

Remember when the last few weeks of school would come and the last thing you wanted to do was more work? I teach special needs students and often find that students want to play games and watch movies like the other classes, but they need more time to learn and would not benefit from stopping early.

My students are special needs and must spend more time on simple lessons.

I know that while I would love to stop and do crafts and games, this would be a disadvantage to my students. I think that the games I have picked to add fun into learning would allow my students to have fun while continue the learning process. I believe this will benefit the children who want to think they have stopped working while allowing me the chance to introduce skills and ideas for next school year. They will also be a benefit next year to allow for centers of learning within my classroom.

My Project

With your donation to this worthwhile project, you would be allowing students to develop skills that may otherwise be limited to packets and handouts. While learning is the most important part of the future for our students, they find that fun is also important. With these fine material we will be making both thing happen for my special needs students. This will also teach the children that work can be worthwhile and fun and prepare them for future jobs.

Every child is important and all children are special.

But alas, al to often special needs students are pushed aside and forgot. We must make them feel important and learn that fun and work can go hand in hand.
