My Students

"Say Cheese!" A common statement heard when taking pictures of others. By attending local field trips, my students learn about the alphabet through real world experiences A-Z! We would love to have a new digital camera in order to capture our experiences and save the memories forever.

I am a kindergarten teacher in a small town in northern Minnesota.

I currently have 20 students with a population of approximately 35% Native American students. Our classroom setting is unique in the fact that I will be teaching the same students next year in first grade. We call it a "looping classroom." It creates a warm, comfortable family atmosphere where children can grow and thrive with the same teacher and students for two years.

My Project

Through donations of time and various grants, we have been taking kindergarten students on local field trips throughout the school year. Our goal is for kids to learn their letters and gain real world experiences through various activities. Some examples include: V for veterinarian, f for flower shop, Q for Dairy Queen. We would love to have a new digital camera to capture the marvelous "learning moments" of each year. Pictures will be used to display the events and also to send home with the children to share with their families.

The memories captured on camera are irreplaceable!

The smiles, laughter and whimsical expressions are remarkable. These memories are a great way to remember and share what the children have learned. A digital camera is something that will be used in my classroom for years and years to come! A donation to this project is very generous and we would be forever grateful!
