This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This amazing little device is easy to store securely, easy to plug into any ipod, iphone, ipad or computer. It just works! This little device makes the computer lab geek in me want it so badly! I played with one in the Apple store and it will solve a lot of technology issues at my school.

The students I teach are a high needs community.

They are multilingual, enthusiastic and a joy to teach. As their computer lab teacher, I see every student at my elementary school. They all deserve the best technology has to offer them in terms of teaching and learning tools. We need to be serious in our commitment to bridging the digital divide.

My Project

This pocket projector makes it easy to plug in to any device at school and project. Lots of our devices are not able to connect to our projectors, such as our video ipods, ipads and laptops. It can be very frustrating trying to find the right connection to make things work. Teachers don't want to extend themselves and stress themselves out. But this pico projector will just work with anything! An added bonus is that we can show youtube videos that we download on our ipods. Youtube is understandably blocked here at school (but not on our 3G iphones!)

Your donation will bring my whole school the ability to project powerful multimedia for teaching and learning just about anywhere in the school!

It just might get some teachers that are scared of technology to embrace a friendly new easy to use device into their teaching toolkit.
