My Students

Excitement in History is through the presentations, games, songs, and PowerPoint's that they hear when doing their lesson for the day. I need headphones for all of my students.

My students love technology.

I try to teach every lesson with videos, games, and fun ways to keep their attention. I even have a Civil War Xbox game that I allow them to play when award points have been received. The challenge we are having now is that the headphones are breaking and we do not have enough for all students to be able to listen to the video or PowerPoint while they are completing their lesson.

My Project

I will be able to allow each student to listen to the History youtube songs I have downloaded along with the unitedstreaming videos that we watch in class. I have started teaching my class in the computer lab when available. They stay focused and listen better when they are in the lab. They grasp the concept being taught when you are able to connect it to music or video.

I believe my project is important because all students need to be able to hear the excitement in History.

I have several songs from Youtube that I teach. For instance, the Animaniac President song is how they learn the order of the President's. Our children live in a world of T.V. and video games. If you can get the resources needed to teach that way, your students will leave with more knowledge and excitement. Children no longer do well with sit and listen lessons.
