This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Imagine creating the perfect project or writing the paper of a lifetime, only to find you don't paper or glue which would complete your masterpiece. In a Language Arts classroom, the details matter when you need your work to shine.

My students arrive school full of energy, but often not really interested in the details of school like paper and writing utensils.

Most are in the free and reduced lunch program which makes "the details" difficult to get. While some value education, others need a little help seeing the importance of an education.

My Project

By funding these items, my students will be able to participate in the innovative and engaging lessons that I have planned for them such as table graffiti where students can use dry erase markers to write on desks without causing permanent damage, or the photo pencils, ceiling clips and photo paper which will allow them to colorize photos, print photos and display them from the ceiling. Our classroom isn't a traditional room with four walls. It doesn't have a whiteboard or a chalkboard which makes it difficult for every student get information in writing unless it is printed on paper, which is very limited and cost prohibitive. They will learn there is more than one way to learn or to complete assignments.

Sometimes, it's all in the details!

Can you imagine eating pancakes made with water when milk would making them taste better? The details can make a project stand out or blend into the background. Your support will allow my students to shine and not just become apart of the background!
