My students need an LCD projector to make math, language arts, social studies, and science lessons come alive.

I am a second grade teacher in a school serving a diverse lower socio-economic population. Our school is making gains in closing the achievement gap and surpassed 800 in our API last year.

Our school has access to streaming video, yet I have no way of sharing it with my students. When I build a PowerPoint vocabulary lesson for my English learners, I have no way of sharing it. Using the projector to demonstrate math applets so students can see virtual manipulatives is a dream right now.

My students need the visual stimulation that an LCD projector can provide. As second graders, many of whom are struggling to read, visuals are a critical link to learning. The projector will bring all subjects to life.

During this devastating economic time for our schools, we cannot meet the needs of our students without help from the general public or corporate donors. Without these generous donors, our children would fall behind in the race for good jobs in the future. I need your help to prepare them.
