The Supplies Aren't That Special, But The Students Are!

My students need a political globe and 6 additional classroom resources, including sticky notes, mechanical pencils and a pocket chart.

We need basic school supplies! I will keep these supplies for my classroom and will continue to use them every year. My school is a high-need community and I service the ESL students at my school. Over 90% of my students speak Spanish.

We have been working with what we have, but I feel that the supplies I have suggested would help to aid my teaching the most.

We need scissors, post-its, pencils, antibacterial wipes, and a set of basic math manipulatives (try explaining math to a student who doesn't speak English - WITHOUT manipulatives!). I have also requested a globe, because I feel that this would really add to my classroom. I have students from Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Palestine, and Ethiopia - put simply, I feel that as an ESL teacher I should have a globe!

You will make it possible for me to continue to bridge the gap for our students who don't speak English to be able to understand and learn content material.
