I teach in a large urban school district in Ohio. I have 26 first graders from a wide variety of backgrounds and economic situations.

My students love to read but frequently do not have the required materials at home to reinforce the reading skills they are learning at school. They love to borrow books and bring them home to read (you would think it was Christmas morning when they get a new book!) but I am quickly running out of new titles for them to read. They are tired of reading the same books over and over.

Funding this project will allow my students to have new, exciting books that are leveled to bring home each night to read to their parents and practice their emerging reading skills.

Your help will ensure that my students have books to read each night to further develop their reading skills and succeed in school.
