Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

We're ready for our close-ups, Brutus! I teach 10th grade English in an inner-city school in Texas.

Because of budget shortfalls, our school lacks the equipment we need to keep our students engaged in learning in the digital age.

We want to add video to our classroom projects. For example, this spring we plan to use a trial setting in order to better understand the use of argument and persuasion in Shakespeare's Julius Caesar. We plan to record our arguments, interviews, and witness examinations in order to review and improve our arguments and questions.

For many of my students, English is a second language. I want them to go beyond basic skills, and I feel that video will be the hook that propels them into those levels of thinking that will prepare them for college. Please help us.
