Your contribution has made a meaningful difference for my students. With the new resources, my students have been able to engage more actively in hands-on science activities. Recently, during one of our chemistry investigations, students used the materials to explore how substances dissolve and conduct electricity. Seeing the concepts come alive helped them connect what they learn in the textbook to real-world science.\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, their excitement was immediate. Many of them were eager to begin experimenting and asked thoughtful questions about how the equipment works. Their curiosity and enthusiasm reminded me how powerful the right tools can be in sparking a love for science.\r\nMoving forward, we will continue using these resources in upcoming lessons on chemical reactions and solution chemistry. Students will conduct experiments, collect data, and work collaboratively to analyze their results. Science truly is a fun adventure in our classroom, and your support helps make that journey possible.\r\nThank you again for investing in my students' learning and future.","fullyFundedDate":1771010884977,"projectUrl":"project/science-is-an-adventure-discover-exper/9958996/","projectTitle":"Science Is an Adventure: Discover, Experiment, and Have Fun!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. O","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10268683"},{"teacherId":4422950,"projectId":10087594,"letterContent":"Using Black History flash cards that include Afro-Latino figures and historical contributions has helped students from various Hispanic cultures better understand the connections between African heritage and cultures throughout the Americas. Many students initially view Black American history as separate from their own cultural backgrounds. By introducing Afro-Latino leaders, artists, and historical figures, the flash cards highlight how African ancestry and influence are also deeply present in many Latin American communities. This helps students recognize shared histories and see the broader impact of the African diaspora.\r\n\r\nThe flash cards also help challenge stereotypes and misconceptions about Black Americans. Through quick, accessible facts about important individuals, movements, and achievements, students are exposed to the many contributions Black Americans have made to society. Repeated exposure to these positive examples broadens students' perspectives and encourages them to view Black history as an essential part of American history rather than a separate narrative.\r\n\r\nIn addition, the lessons create space to discuss social dynamics such as privilege in a thoughtful and culturally sensitive way. Students learn that throughout U.S. history, systems and policies often provided advantages to people perceived as white while creating barriers for Black communities and other people of color. By understanding the concept of white privilege in a historical context such as differences in access to education, housing, and opportunities, students are better able to see how inequality developed over time and why conversations about fairness and equity continue today.\r\n\r\nOverall, the use of Black History flash cards has helped foster greater cultural awareness, empathy, and respect within a diverse student body. Students are encouraged to reflect on how history shapes present-day experiences while recognizing the value of different cultures and perspectives. This approach supports open dialogue and helps students build a deeper understanding of both the challenges and contributions that have shaped Black American culture and the broader multicultural society in which they live.","fullyFundedDate":1771875830556,"projectUrl":"project/art-culture-and-black-history/10087594/","projectTitle":"Art, Culture, and Black History","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Mu'min","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4422950_orig.jpg?crop=720,720,x306,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1616703649894","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4422950"},{"teacherId":7865997,"projectId":9910638,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous support of our prop food project at WT White High School. I am truly grateful for the school supplies I received in October 2025, and I want you to know how meaningful and impactful your contribution has been for both my students and me.\r\n\r\nThe mobile boards have been an incredible addition to our classroom. They have helped me deliver lessons more effectively and have given my students the opportunity to engage in small group discussions in a more interactive and collaborative way. Seeing students actively use the boards to share ideas and solve problems together has made learning more dynamic and engaging.\r\n\r\nI am also deeply appreciative of the cleaning supplies you provided. Having a clean, neat, and organized classroom creates a positive learning environment and shows students that they deserve a space that is welcoming and conducive to learning. Your support has helped me maintain a classroom that reflects care, respect, and organization.\r\n\r\nThe laminator has been especially valuable in my instruction. It has allowed me to create long-lasting flashcards and puzzle pieces that we use regularly in class. These materials were particularly helpful when we were learning about simplifying polynomials and reviewing integers, as students could manipulate the pieces hands-on and practice concepts in an engaging way without worrying about wear and tear.\r\n\r\nIn addition, the pencils, whiteboard magnets, and power plug extension have made a noticeable difference in our daily routines. The magnets allow me to proudly display students' work on the board, boosting their confidence and sense of accomplishment. The power plug extension has helped me organize appliances in my room, especially the Promethean board, as well as manage the placement and charging of Chromebooks and calculators more efficiently.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, my classroom is a more organized, interactive, and student-centered learning space.
