Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

TAG! You read! I am a first grade teacher in a low income school. All of my students receive free lunch and have limited literacy resources at home.

I have stressed independence in my classroom this year. My 6 and 7 year old students have learned to make educational choices that have greatly improved their skills as a reader and writer. I have been supplied with 4 TAG reading systems, however, each system comes with only 1 book.

One of the choices that I would love my students to have is a choice between a variety of TAG storybooks. TAG storybooks bring beloved stories to life. These storybooks will be an extra opportunity for my students to read and listen to reading independently. I believe having this opportunity will further improve their literacy skills.

You will make it possible for my students to have opportunities to read independently. Many of my students do not get that opportunity at home. The TAG books will motivate and inspire my students and give them experiences with books in a fun and exciting way.
