My students need 30 high-interest books to read that are on their current reading levels.

In our first grade classroom, we have 24 boys and girls that are rapidly growing in their reading abilities. They are quickly reading every book available to them!

As our class increases their reading abilities, we are finding it difficult to provide enough books for them to read. It is difficult to have high-interest and engaging books on several different reading levels. I have students that are reading from the first grade level up to the third and even fourth grade levels! While that is exciting and wonderful, it also presents a problem. How do I continually offer them new and fresh reading books?

With this project my students will have access to 30 brand new books that are on three reading levels. With books featuring well-loved characters such as Danny, Little Bear, Amelia Bedelia, and Frog and Toad, they will have many new books to choose from to read. As their reading levels grow, they will have books that are appropriate for them!

You will make it possible for my first grade readers to continue their wonderful reading progress. By donating to this project, you will show young children that there are people in the world that care about them and want them to achieve.
