Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My children need a comfortable place to relax and enjoy a book! I teach first grade in an inner-city school. My school district can only afford to provide us with necessities.

I am always searching for ways to motivate my class to read. One of their favorite activities is to visit the classroom library and read with a buddy. The children sprawl out all over our rug to read.

I would love to surprise them with comfy bean bags to sit on while they escape into a good book. If they feel comfortable and cozy at the classroom library, they are likely to stay and read longer!

I try to create a home-like environment in my classroom. Please help me enhance my classroom library for the enjoyment of my students.
