I teach a diverse, fabulous group of ninth grade students who are itching to share their creative spirit. With the right technology, they will be able to put their ideas into digital format to share with their classes.

Even with the best intentions, a teacher can only expose their students to new technology when they actually have it to use. Our school is woefully underfunded and the students are the ones who are hurt by the endless budget cuts that come down the line.

We need a camcorder that can be gently used among all of my classes when students create videos and presentations that are a part of our engaging curriculum. This technology will not only benefit the students who learn to use it, but will spark interest and response from those who see their presentations. I am always amazed by what my students create...and saddened when the school cannot provide the resources they need to see their ideas come to fruition. Knowing how to utilize technology is a vital part of a high school education and can provide skills that will help throughout their collegiate careers.
