My students need 5 sets each of the games "Bananagrams" and "Quiddler".

Rural Maine community with un-exercised words. Students are at a loss as to how to make the dispassionate letters into compelling nouns, verbs, and adjectives.

My students have given their education too much control over their vocabularies. As such, their words have grown stiff, ornery, and dull. Furthermore, the words have become lazy and ceased to work for students, preferring to lie languidly on the page. My students have lost hope of enlivening their words.

With Bananagrams and Quiddler, I hope to show my students that they are in control of the words that they use and read. By playing these games which deal with the creation and recombination of words, I hope they will appreciate how words come together and interact with one another to create meaning and engagement through their forms and sounds.
