I am a kindergarten teacher in a low income/high poverty rural area. Currently I have 24 lively and enthusiastic students who are excited about everything they will be learning in their first year at school. As their teacher, it is my job to try to provide them with the best possible education I can despite the lack of funding and resources that we currently have. This is where you can help!

One of the most critical needs in my classroom is quality science materials that will help my students really become hands-on learners. In order to become well rounded, educated learners my students need to not only learn reading and math, but science as well. Unfortunately, our budget does not allow for us to buy the much needed supplies that we need to teach science as fully as we should.

With your help, I would like to provide my students with three hands-on science kits that cover a variety of kindergarten science topics such as magnetism, the five senses, colors, life cycles, water and more. Each of these kits also allow students to be able to use their critical thinking skills to come up with questions that they can then investigate. True learning does not come from a book but from our experiences. These science kits can help my students to really start exploring the world around them and gain skills that will last the rest of their lives.

You can make it possible for my students to begin a love of learning that will last a lifetime! Please help us to reach our true potential and become all that we can be!!
