I am a high school Science and Math teacher in a special education center for students with emotional/learning disabilities and other health impairments. My students range from being diagnosed with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) with an inability to focus to being diagnosed with schizophrenia.

Do you know that students with special needs can be "Ahead of the Curve"? Most of my students are auditory and kinesthetic learners who are successful working in small groups or individually with an instructor.

There are several interactive learning opportunities available on-line which reinforce and support my instructional program. Headphones allow my students to listen to the information presented while blocking environmental distractions as they work at their own pace. Students that have had the opportunity to learn through online investigation have demonstrated increased comprehension of the material covered.

By providing my students with individual headphones for these interactive learning opportunities, you will remove one of the barriers that hinder their ability to be successful in my classroom.
