My students need Math enrichment activities, and the Math Sharks will provide a special level of engagement and act as an incentive for good behavior as well as supplement their mathematical abilities.

I teach second grade Special Ed in New York. I have 28 amazing scholars who all have a variety of needs and abilities. Every single one of them is capable of great work when they are given the resources they need, and are encouraged to work their very hardest. I am a first year Teach for America corp member, and with your help I'm going to make my class not just a Special Ed class, but an amazing class!

My second grade SPED class has some incredibly intelligent scholars, but sometimes they find it difficult to focus. Math Sharks are like little math video games, which they love, and will provide a incentive to stay on task and complete classwork in a timely manner.

The promise of using a Math Shark during free choice time will galvanize my class into working even harder during independent practice time, as well as provide great center opportunities and math enrichment.

You can help us overcome assumptions about special ed by providing our class with some of the most engaging technology in education. With your help the students will continue to disprove assumptions about SPED students and achieve more than they can imagine.
