Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Help inspire a lifelong love of reading for students in a high need, low education community with unlimited potential!

Many of my 5th grade students (after years of not reading on a regular basis) have become excited about reading, especially after learning about science! We need the books in our classroom that they want to read!

Our class needs nonfiction books about famous Americans, science subjects that students can not get enough of, beginner chapter books for those students that have been behind for years but can catch up with continued reading, and full versions of books from our reading program. It is a proven fact that students that read are the ones that achieve! I have been able to get my students excited about reading, but now I need to be able to give them the books they want and that can change their lives forever!

You will make it possible for my students to solidify their love of reading and learning about the world. My hope is that by reading (especially about others that have accomplished their goals and overcome obstacles) they will be inspired to do the same! Your donation will directly impact these students and fuel their current (and hopefully lifelong) love for reading and learning!
